When you sign up for our email list, request a yard sign, RSVP to an event, contact us, contribute to the campaign, or fill out any form on our site, we may collect:

  • Mailing address (including      street, city, state, ZIP)
  • Phone number
  • Employer and occupation (required      by law for certain contributors)
  • Any message, comment, or other      information you choose to provide

When you visit our website, we automatically collect certain technical information, including:

  • Device type and operating system
  • Pages you view, time spent on the      site, and referring URLs
  • Date and time of your visit

  • Send you campaign updates, news,  event invitations, and volunteer opportunities by email and SMS (only if you've opted in)
  • Acknowledge and process  contributions to the campaign
  • Comply with TENNESSEE and federal campaign-finance reporting requirements
  • Respond to your questions and messages
  • Coordinate volunteer activity,  including yard-sign requests and event RSVPs
  • Improve our website and understand how supporters engage with our content
  • Run advertising on platforms like Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google, subject to those platforms'      rules for political advertising
  • Protect against fraud, abuse,  and unauthorized activity

How We Share Your Information

 We will not sell, share, or trade data collected through this site for commercial or marketing purposes.


The limited sharing we do is restricted to the following categories:

  • Service providers who help us run      the campaign, including our website host, email service SMS provider form      provider, advertising platforms, and analytics providers. These providers      are only permitted to use your information to perform services for us.
  • Government agencies, when required by Tennessee or federal campaign-finance law. Contributors  who give above certain thresholds will have their name, address, employer,      and occupation publicly reported in our campaign-finance disclosures, as required by law.
  • Law enforcement or other parties  when required by subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or when we  believe disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, or property.
  • Successor organizations, in the  event the campaign committee is dissolved or merged.

Your Choices

 

  • Email. You can unsubscribe from our      emails at any time using the "unsubscribe" link in the footer of      any campaign email.
  • SMS. Reply STOP to any campaign text      to opt out. See the Text Messaging (SMS) Program section of our Terms      & Conditions for more detail.
  • Access, correction, deletion. If you would like to access,      correct, or request deletion of the personal information we hold about      you, email us at  kimberly@voteforcalcote.com . Please note that we are      required by law to retain certain contributor information for a period of      time after the election.

Children's Privacy

  

Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect the information we collect. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security and you provide information at your own risk.
